Week eight was definitely a different one when it came to the work. Most of my work was finished last week, so this week was more focused on putting together the final project for Un-University!
I started off my week by creating a day in my life through a sound effect story.
This was cool because I got to use a lot of metaphors when it came to timing (because I have a very busy schedule) and absence of the sound (homework because I don’t do homework with noise, I need absolute silence, so there was no noise to represent that during my day).
Then, throughout the week I did two daily creates!
Then, I took some time to reflect on how Un-University (my radio show) was coming along! I loved getting to see the final product, and I loved getting to make the final edits to make everything flow together the best way. It was so cool starting out with nothing, making separate pieces, putting it all together, and suddenly having a completed radio show!
Throughout the week, I loved getting to see what my classmates were doing! Here are some of my favorite posts and comments…
Overall I loved getting to produce my radio show! I was a little nervous at first, just because the idea of doing a group project–let alone a collaborative radio show–without being able to see my classmates in person is a lot to comprehend. But honestly, it went very smoothly. I think the fact that we worked together on it over Zoom highlights the experience of college life in a pandemic… which is exactly what we wanted to showcase. I hope you enjoyed my week eight summary, and I can’t wait to see what week nine brings!
